Almost any area of the body can be treated with Forever Clear BBL. Although acne most commonly affects the skin on the face, back, and chest, our Advanced Estheticians can cater your treatment plan to almost any area of concern.
Most guests find Forever Clear BBL to be very tolerable thanks to the device’s built-in cooling system, which helps maintain comfort throughout the session. You may feel a warm snapping sensation during each pulse of light, similar to a rubber band flick, but any lingering heat is quickly soothed. After the treatment, a cold compress is applied and provided for you to take home, allowing continued cooling until the warmth fully dissipates.
A typical Forever Clear BBL session takes 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the area being treated.
One of the best aspects of Forever Clear BBL is that it requires little to no downtime. You may notice mild redness or warmth, similar to a light sunburn, for a few hours after treatment. Some clients experience a temporary “purge” phase, where existing acne may surface as the skin begins to clear. This is a normal and expected part of the healing process and subsides with subsequent sessions. Most clients can resume normal activities right away, though we recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, heat exposure, and swimming for 48-72 hours following treatment.
For optimal results, we recommend an initial series of 6 treatments spaced 2 weeks apart. Occasional maintenance treatments may be required if lifestyle or hormonal changes lead to new acne lesions.
We recommend avoiding makeup for at least 12 to 24 hours post-treatment to allow your skin to begin healing. Tinted sunscreen can be applied immediately after treatment (as long as the skin is intact) and can aid in protecting the skin from the sun while minimizing the appearance of redness.
To ensure the treatment is safe and effective, avoid unprotected sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for at least 4 weeks before and after treatment. Discontinue the use of retinoids, exfoliants, and certain topical products 7 days before your session.
To maximize your results and protect your skin, we recommend the following aftercare:
+ Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily and avoid direct sun exposure, as your skin will be more sensitive to the sun.
+ For the first 48-72 hours, avoid heat-inducing activities such as intense exercise, hot showers, saunas, and spicy foods.
+ Until sensitivity has fully subsided, refrain from swimming or exposing your skin to chlorinated water. Additionally, avoid using active skincare products such as retinol, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), or physical exfoliants. Only apply gentle skincare products.

BBL also allows for greater comfort during treatment and often yields faster and longer-lasting results than traditional IPL.
While Forever Clear BBL is safe for most guests, it is not recommended for those who:
+ Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
+ Have conditions like cancer, vitiligo, melasma, or epilepsy.
+ Have recently used Accutane or other Vitamin-A prescription medications.
+ Have a history of keloids or poor wound healing.
+ Have been tanning or using self-tanner in the last 30 days.
+ Are on anticoagulants or have a compromised immune system.
+ Have very dark skin tones (Fitzpatrick VI), as there’s a higher risk of hyperpigmentation or burns.
